What modifacations will need to be done to mate a b16 head on a b18c1 block?
Within the next week, i will be putting togeather a b16 head with b18c1 block. What modifacations if any need to be done, besides new intake manifold. New sensors? Are all coolant lines almost the same, or do i need to customize? All help is greatly appreciated.
No modifications, the head bolts right in.
you will need either the ITR intake or B16.
Depending on what intake manifold you use you might have extra coolant lines.
If you use a first gen B16 intake, it has provisions for the coolant lines for the oil cooler in the block.
if you use a later B16 inatke manifold, you won't have to deal with that.
The type R manifold uses the same coolant lines as the first gen b16.
Either way it's no biggy at all.
You must use a B18C1 timing belt or you won't be able to get the proper cam /crank timing

also on an ITR Throttle body, can I use my sensors from my GSR throttle body? And i was using a skunk 2 manifold, now switching to an itr, will GSR sensors fit on the ITR manifold?
