the ignition box would work

u would need to convert ur cap to external coil
and get a new cap

honda igniton systems are very well designed from the factory, honestly you are wasting your money. a 6AL box isnt gonna gain you much. on a dyno with a supercharged B16 we ganed about 5 midrange but lost in the top end.

hm so it isnt the same as on a mustang? I got lots of qick power. Faster revs, cleaner spark, and better fuel.
So i got the ignition, coil, cap, plugs, and your saying it will not do much?
thanks for you opinion...

You got better fuel from a upgrade ignition system?

This isn't entirely true. While the ignition systems are pretty solid, it is a well known fact that Honda coils are the weak link in the ignition system. They don't produce a real strong spark and their lifespans aren't that great either. I would consider using an ignition box if I was running boost but if you're NA just swap out your coil for an external one and you'll be fine for a long time.

Because Honda combustion chambers are a lot more efficient than most any domestic V8, a spark enhancing system like MSD will make more of a difference on that motor than a Honda engine.

you are correct about the coil, but getting an external coil like a blaster is alot cheaper than an entire ignition box.
