SpeciaProjects Motor Sports has available for sale:
1999 GSR Integra (Undamaged) Theft recovery. Clean Pink Slip.
This car would be Ideal for someone who is ready to start building a new car for S.C.C.A.Honda Cup or NASA Honda Challenge for next season.
The car is undamaged. All Glass intact. Easy to restore or rebuild.
Needs; Interior Panels, Airbags & Seats & Instrument cluster.
Headlights, Front Bumper, Radiator, Engine, G/Box, Tail lights.
We were going to use this car for parts for the rest of our stable, but it is in such good condition it would be a shame to part it out!
Anyway... 4 Race cars are enough toys for us.
Our team will give assistance to anyone who wants to build this car up for racing...
Especially if it's "Honda Cup"
(Plug)
$2500.00

Not too bad looking a ruleset.
Wish they'd leave a little more latitude in the chassis though.
SCCA! **** YEAH!

I believe it is a new series initiated by drivers unable to win Honda Challenge races. Split the field and their chances of winning are improved. What they don't realize is that an uncompetitive car/driver/team is going to be uncompetitive in any series.
**Edited to be less harsh**

Small relocations and vague allowances....like in the SCCA PRR for WC...

wow, sounds expensive. Everything's unrestricted.
sounds like a "my checkbook is bigger than yours" type of cup. But, hey, if it creates more attention to sport compact racing series, i'm all for it... just not as a participant as I'm a budget racer.

Ouch!!
Whats the problem? They wanted some things changed, they weren't, and so they made their own rules. I don't see them crying and whining, just realizing their particular vision. Long live Honda Cup! Long live Honda Challenge!

exactly, KIWI was pushing for allowing after market rods, not to many people seemed keen on the idea, and mostly the rule makers.
and he had a bad experance at the MID ohio race.
im sure there are other things but those are what im aware of.
IMO HOnda cup is a weak *** reply to honda challenge.
But good luck to you in honda cup.

It's just unfortunate these people managed to push the spending limits up in HC before leaving.
I certainly don't blame them for doing what they should have done in the first place though.

Great, now Flarity will want to change the HC rules to match the "honda cup" rules so we can have more crossover..

Still A little harsh don't you think?
Who's Whining? I don't believe you have heard a word from any of us for quite a while? If you don't like it... Don't do it! Thats pretty much the answer I always got to my suggestions for HC ... So moving on is what I'm going to do. It's cool that I'm not on my own though, I was actually starting to believe that maybe I was the only one who had concerns? I'm amazed at the interest this new class has attracted! The first round at Fontana will be interesting. I may not be welcome at NASA because I have the ***** to say what I think! ... But everyone will be welcome at Honda Cup!
Just for the record...
The New SCCA Honda Cup came along at just the right time for some of us who are ready to move on...
The fact that the Honda Cup rules are similar to what We have been pushing for with NASA is just great!
It has nothing to do with splitting the ranks of Honda Challenge. And I certainly don't want to get into a NASA Bashing contest. My opinions both good and bad, on the way Honda Challenge and the way NASA officialdom works, have been well publicised and I stick by them! Everyone will see the light some day and I wish them well.
Yes, S.C.C.A. Has been planing on such a series for a while.
No, Honda Cup is not my "Brain Child" But I will be proud to work with all those involved and to give any assistance I can to make it work.
Yes, The preliminary Honda Cup rules were drawn up over a period of time with everyone invited to make additions and changes. A democratic vote was cast 100% for the rules as posted. The rules will now be inforced by SCCA. Not the drivers.
Any eligibility inspections, should they be required? will be carried out by SCCA Officials. The rules are easy to police so there will be no engine tear downs at the track!
No, there will be no conflicts of interest in this series.
No, It will not be more expensive to run late model motors with the Honda Cup rules... (We of all teams know the exact cost of running H1 rules) And we have done our homework.
I will still be running a B Series engine. Not a 'k' With aftermarket rods as you may think?
Yes, Honda Cup will be well publicised and marketed, and we will run at some great venues. Major Sponsors are and will be involved, Great Trophys, and in due course there will Prize Money worth racing for.
All HC Cars will be welcome! Although some may not be competitive at the start, I believe a couple of extra classes are in the pipeline.
So please dont let my attempt to sell a great project car turn into a bunch of personal attacks!
If you only want to run NASA HC ... Do it!
If you want to run Honda Cup... Do it!
If you want to run Both? ... Do it!

Corey, you don't know how wrong you are. We have no interest in the high $$ rules they will be running.
Even if you were right, I am dedicated to holding the line on prep levels & cost. Check with the (East Coast) rules guys.
Back OT: Too bad I don't have a little $$, I would buy the shell. Good Luck.

Actually Chad,
if if it was'nt for people like Andy Hope who started the whole East /West thing. Against initial resistance from the powers that be...Or people like me, who brought Honda Tuning to the event. You may never have been there. It was one of the rare occasions where eventually NASA actually listened to what the drivers wanted.
Still a great weekend though
Kiwi
But all this is still not getting my GSR Sold!!!!
