Default 1990 CRX Si

I'm Buying a '90 crx si but i don't think it's an si because it does not have a sunroof or 4 wheel disc brakes. But on the back it say's Si. WTF is it or is it not? thanks

I really doubt it is, is the person selling it claiming it's an Si? Got any pics of it?

im not sure what the vin code is but usually theirs certain numbers or letters that Identify what model it is.. A few more things to check out is if it has a cluster with a tach, d16a6 motor.. the si red striped seats... only the 90-91 have disk so I dont think its an si....

D15B6 is the HF engine

is the Tach's redline at 5k RPM... if so you got yourself an HF.

D15B6 is a 64hp 8valve 4cyl. It's slow as hell but pulls nearly 52MPG on the highway, which is better than most hybrid cars today haha. The good thing about the HF is it's super super light at just over 1800lb. It's by far the best car for swapping, but it certainly is no Si.

I say pick it up anyway, but if you were hoping for a fast car this isn't going to be it. It's very well worth it to get it for swapping though, IMO. How much is he asking?

yes, CRX HF swaps are the best. a B16 in that would kick.

My brother has a 91 DX with a b16 bone stock and trust me, it's more than enough for your average driver. Within the next half hour you'll get 30,000 posts about how the b16 sucks and is underrated, and you'll hear LS/VTEC about 80,000 times... but for the price b16 is is the way to go at about generally $1500 if you do your own work.

Pick up the HF... drop a b16 into it. If you get bored throw the B18 block on the bottom. If you get bored of that turbocharge the whole thing.
