I recently purchased a UKDM SiR cluster, 9500 RPM and 150 MPH

Heres my question. The cluster is from a 90-91 rex, and I have an 89. Do I just need the plastic covering from a 90-91?

Also, im using a PR3 ECU and I think a while back I remember someone saying you cant use a Pr3 with an SiR cluster... that doesnt make much sense at all..

all u need is the 90-91 cover.

 

You're going to have to swap the cluster pod for a round 90-91 one and also the metal mounts on the dashboard... they're different then the square ones as well.

I haven't done 89 dash with 90-91 cluster/pod, but I have done 90-91 dash with 88 cluster/pod. It doesn't line up perfectly so I would recommend getting a 90-91 dashboard and swapping the whole thing out. Although get the pod and mounts first and test it out because I can't be sure.

You can get the 90-91 pod and cluster onto the 89 dashboard very easily, but there's going to be gaps and such. There was with mine, but then again I'm going in the opposite direction with the older cluster on the newer dashboard.

Everyone says it's plug and play, but mine wasn't perfect so i would assume yours isn't going to be either unless you get the 90-91 dash.
