Default Megan Racing header review

Well I just got my Megan Racing header in the mail today. I bought it off of ebay for $170 shipped! The price may fool people, but it actually is a nice header. When I took it out of the box I examined all the welds and ports.

The welds look very nice, not cheap and shitty at all. They actually look as good as the welds on my skunk2 catback. The ports are nice and smooth also.

The header I bought is for an obd2 gsr, and its going on my OBD2 b16. One major reason I wanted to buy it was because of the 2.5 outlet. I am not sure how it performs yet.

I should be installing it soon and I will update then. At least I wont have to use my friends stock manifold.

I am selling my DC header off of my car for $50 + shipping if anyone is interested. It has some damage but I can get it fixed for like $15 more dollars.

Anyone else have any comments on the header???

I've got the same header on my 99 Si and I like it, although I haven't had it on a dyno to show any #'s with it. VTEC is louder. Nice header

and do you also know if they make a 2.25" outlet for the GSR as wella s the 2.5?

I would be interested in seeing dyno info on that header and see how it compares to the DC JDM 4-1. When you get that information post it up and then we'll have a complete review on the product other than the fact that it "looks nice" lol..

I want to see a dyno comparison also. Otherwise this is useless.

In that case, don't sell your DC header until you can get a baseline to compare against.

All I'm hearing are BUTT DYNO results...

U gonna **** me a graph on that?

Anybody have any numbers comparing the Megan to the DC 4-1 and/or to the JDM ITR 4-1?

I keep hearing how GOOD their quality is....I want to see some side-by-side comparisons of the Megan header and DC 4-1 OR preferably, the JDM ITR 4-1.

I haven't even seen any comparisons between performance of the DC 4-1 and the JDM ITR...

Anyone seen a comparison between these 2?

Well then don't put up a "review".

You're on ht, you know what happen when you put up useless info.

All he meant was that if you're "reviewing" a performance part like a header, it's normally accompanied by some performance numbers like 1/4 mile times or dyno graphs/results to be a true review. Withouthout them, a more appropriate title for this thread would have been "Megan Racing header opinions"

wurd, well here you go.
when i ran my car with the dc header on it i was running very consistant 15.0 1/4 mile times. After the header was put on my time changed from a 15.0 to consistant 14's my best time was a 14.5 with a very shitty *** 60ft. and on street tires spinning when i would shift from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. Which means i was loosing time there. So i am waiting to get some radials on my car and run her again.

I've got their 4-2-1 header on my b18b at the moment, and i'll hopefully be hitting the dyno within the next week or so (if the weather holds up). I would've gone sooner, but I just recently had surgery. I'll keep everyone posted.
