Fog light Question
My fog lights on my car only come on when my headlights are on. I know thats how they come from the factory, but I wired it so that they come on with my park lights like so many other people did. Now they were working fine for the 2 months i've had them so far, but last night I turned on my parklights and the fog lights didn't come on, but the park lights came on.They only came on when I turned on my headlights. So does anyone know if theres a certain fuse I should check or is it a wiring issue or something I should check.. thanks for the help.
your confusing
if you wired them to your parking lights it shouldn't matter if your head lights or parking lights are on, the fog lights should be on for both. You sure a wire didn't come unhooked from something that you wired. You should just have a relay, with 1 wire to the parking light harness, 1 wire to the ground and another to 12v. Dunno how you have it wired, but maybe your relay took a ****.

I know it doesn't matter if the headlights or park lights are on. But I hard wired them to my park lights. So anytime I turned on my park lights they would come on.But now they only come on when I turn on the headlights. So they don't come on for both. I think i'm gonna check the relay attached to the fuse box inside the car...not sure wich fuses to check inside because I didn't put any new one's when I installed the fog lights, so I wouldn't know exactly which fuses to check. My park lights work and those are the obvious one's to check..thanks for the help
Check the switch itself. Adding the electrical load of the Fog lights to a switch may overload the switch itself = HEAT. One fix is to add in-line mechanical relays to absorb the load.
