still cant get help with VSS.
so i have the JDM GSR cluster in and wired...followed all wirings...but the speedometer wont work. everything else does...can anyone help me...does the signal wire or power wire get tapped into the ecu or another wire...still cant figure it out...any info would be GREATLY appreciated...
HAve you checked the tranny where the VSS plugs in to? It might have slipped out, or have you checked back of your gauge cluster where the other end of the VSS connects to that might be loose as well. I had the same problem on mine as well, on my B16, the VSS had come lose from the tranny and the gauge cluster, so my
speedometer wouldn't work and my ECU was giving a code for the VSS. I pluged it back in from both sides my problem was solved. NO ECU codes anymore, and my Speedo works fine now
You may wanna check those first

dude what engine you running?
cable or electronic vss?
If your not running an mechanical vss, then you need to swap it out for a jdm cluster.
On the USDM cars its a mechanical cable that goes to the cluster, and the cluster outputs to the ecu.
For the jdm, the electronic vss outputs to both the ecu and the cluster, and the speedo really only displays the info not puts anything out.
need more info to answer the question.
