Can I fit my Quaife from a z6 tranny in a y8 tranny ???

like the title say... I have a Quaife ATB in my z6 tranny but I would like to get a y8 tranny with steel forks...

Do my Quaife fit in the y8 tranny ???

I think that it should....

They are the same diff but they may have different bearing sizes. The stock diff has to be measured for bearing size.

Don't do it bro your z6 tranny is stronger than the y8 trannies. I just went through this whole thing with which is stronger. Yes the Y8 tranny has steel shift forks but they are very thin. I've just been through two y8 trannies and I am currently in the process of going back to a z6 tranny. Here are some pics of someone elses tranny but mine looked just like this when I pulled it all apart...

im not sure but it can be many things... for your y8 tranny, mileage, abusive driving from the previous owner etc...

many people are sure that the y8 have better shift forks... for the rest its all the same... thinner fork doesnt mean weaker...

in the Quaife website, they said that it fit in the two tranny just take a look !

Y8's are stronger. I don't know why you're having problems, could be a number of different reasons.
