Default Potential CRX purchase advice

I'm just looking for a little advice/opinion on a potential car purchase. The car is a 91 CRX Si .......87,000 original miles...very good condition. That's all i know right now. Oh yea, asking price is $3500...all stock and original AND 1 owner. I currently have an 88 CRX DX with 190000 with a little body rust. No major issues and for the most part all stock. IF the 91 has an absolute flawless body (ie no rust, dents, etc.) do you think it would be a wise purchase and sell my rex to cover some of the cost? A flawless seems completely worth it to me, but the 88 suspension is why i've kept my car. I figure the weight difference can be sorted out by removing some stuff. What would you guys do? Sell the 88 and get a flawless 91 si or keep the 88.

Please give a little advice....or perhaps a push to buy a new car.

the 88 suspension is why you dont want to change?

do you HARDCORE auto-x.. cuz if not you're not really using the 88 suspension.. you wont notice a difference

i'd sell the DX and get the Si..its just classier, and a better platform to start off with. Plus its in mint condition so thats less problems down the road. I think the better half of the people that replied to this post didnt read your entire post because theyre replies arent making sense

well its one owner and everythign is original...there cant be that many mysteries.

plus he bought his car once upon a time, in the same respect..he didnt know what was wrong with that car right?..you never do unless your buying a car brand new from the dealership. get over it.

i dont think u understand what im saying. im saying the car he has now he has worked out all the problems and if there are any then he knows what they are. if he buys another car he wont know whats going to happen. maybe he didnt change the oil on tim emaybe he revved it high all the time. u know how u drove ur car so u know what to expect. but hey u dont have to listen to any of us its ur choice.

Ehhhh a 91 Si with 90k for 3500 is a good purchase because if taken care of and left unmodified it will keep its value of 3500 down the road if you want to sell it. Especially if it's one of the rare desirable Si colors Y-49 or green/teal.... The 91 si over the 88 DX is a no brainer
