Default P61-B17 [problems]

As we were driving casually around town, the car started to backfire a whole lot. [note: this is a G1 integra with a full 93 GSR swap] at the stoplight my friend decided to turn the car off then it turn it back on. it fired right back up, but upon engaging 1st gear, the RPMs on the speedo shot up to 5k but the motor was no where near that. after that the car died it ceased to start. the check engine light was dim. thats all we can conclude right now.

the check engine light just stays dim

anyone have any insight?

open the oil cap and check if cams are moving.
do you have spark?
do you have gas?

no spark, we have oil, and gas... [sometimes it primes, sometimes it doesnt]

sorry for not posting that previously. we're thinking it might be the dizzy, and we're testing that this weekend.

the most common problem for b17a's is the
electrical connection on the dizzy's so wiggle them around...
check cap and rotor for now...
you could use the ignitor from an LS also.....
those are some common problems I have with my car almost every 3mo's.
