Default Clutch J1 tranny.

J1 tranny. 98 GSR block. What clutch and pressure plate do i need. 91 Integra?

My current clutch slips for a second when i let go into 2nd and 3rd when i rip it. Then it grabs all the way to the redline.

Im just looking for something that is stronger and such. I dont care if i get a sore leg or whatnot.

I want it good for up to 4-500WHP So it can still be used in the future.

yeah you need a 90-91 clutch if you want a good disc that you can drive easily on the street and wont slip i have one that i had custom made by clutchnet.com and cant use because my motor came with a ys1 tranny. its a sprung hub organic one side (flywheelside) and ceramic buttons on the pressure plate side. i cant use it if you want it make me an offer- teg91@yahoo.com

I have a Exedy stage 1 organic in my crx and I love it. It feels just like a stock clutch. It has very smooth engagement without that heavy *** pedal feel. It is not a cheap clutch but man it is worth every cent. Caution - they do not make a stage 2 in thick, only thin. I found that out the hard way. There is a error in their catalog. Luckily my friend works in the speed shop I go to so he let me return it after sitting on the clutch for six months waiting till I got around to installing it.

If you are looking for something strong I would NOT recommend CenterForce. Unless you are going to try one of their new pro models. A friend of mine had a Dual friction Centerforce and it did not last very long. Your best bet is going to be a ACT or Exedy.

If the car is a daily driver, get the ACT HDSS.

I dont think it will take 300 wheel hp. I thought it was only good for around 250 but I could be wrong.
