Extracting An ECU Pin
OK, first off here is the link: http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...41608. First off, I just want to say that is a great how-to post. Props to the author. The only problem is, I'm stuck on how to extract the ECU pin. I know that the article states to use a small screw driver and wiggle both sides while pulling out the pin. I've been wiggling that darn thing for hours now and it's not moving. Is there a tool out there that would make this easier? I dunno what I'm doing wrong, but no matter what direction I stick the screw driver into the female side of the ECU plug, the damn pin won't move. If there is anyone who has done this before, please give me your inputs. For I am STUCK!
I've allways pulled my pins with a needle... but you can buy a tool from a honda dealership for pretty cheap. The tool works well and stopps you from piercing your finger.
I've always used a pointed punch/screw driver thing (like my techie description) or paperclips. There are little rubber grommets that hold them in place. There is a specific spot that you can push on the pin to make it come out easy. I would show you if you were local, I've had to do this TONS of times. The first few times are a PITA, but after that it gets easy.
