You can fit 6.5's in the front and 6x9's in the back.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but whenever I look at Best Buy's thing or Circuit City's thing it tells me that it doesn't take 6X9' when it clearly does, I think it's messed up.

6x9 in rear deck

in front if has factory bose system then they are 2 1/2 x 3

if not then you can fit a 6 1/2 in front doors but you have to put a ring behind it as they will get hit by the wondow going down all the way. Oh thats a 94, thinking of 90-93 doors.

Might not need the ring behind the 6 1/2 in door but would not be bad to do to help with vib. incase you are up grading system to higher watts with good base.

That store lied to you. I have a 96 EX sedan but I'm pretty sure it takes the same speakers as the coupe and I have 6.5 inch speakers up front and 6x9's in the rear. The only thing you have to worry about is that the front takes 6.5 but some are too deep so you may have to remove the plastic piece but they make ones that fit perfectly and the whole is for a 6.5 it's just some 6.5's may be too deep but people have said they just removed the piece behind it. I bought the correct depth when I bought them for my car so I didn't have to do that.

Go to http://www.crutchfield.com and put in your car it tells you what sizes fit and what they carry in those sizes. I highly reccomend Crutchfield also as they have great support if you have any problems.

Most of the stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc., probably don't keep records of changes between trim levels. The EX's have 6x9's in the rear, while all other trim levels have 6.5".

I have 6.5" around in my LX, but the rear speakers would be incredibly easy to modify to fit 6x9's.

I have Rock Fos. Power Puch 6 1/2's in my driver doors. All I had to do is make a custom ring to put behind them. They fit fine. But then again, I like to do too many things custom. Mine had the factory bose speakers in them. I have Infinitys 6x9's in the rear deck and they fit just fine. No mod needed. bummer, but a custom ring in any way

Yup your right I looked on Crutchfield.com and the LX takes 6.5's in the rear. Thats why I posted there site. I think it should be made a sticky to look at there site as it tells you what sizes it takes.

I didn't even know the Accords came with BOSE systems. Anyone have any pics of one with a Bose system?

Did the LX have a sub woofer or anything or was it just trying to produce bass from 6.5's? I think a good set of 6x9's can sound better than subs but I do not think I would want just 6.5's.

I would be putting in both the 6 1/2 and the 6 X 9's, cause I know that they will sound awesome, and thus eliminating the need for subs. Also the only place to put the subs is in the trunk, and then they would still just be taking up space.

The 2000 VW, 1998+ Expadition, and several others came with the bose system with sub. The Accords from 1990+ had this option also, but without the sub. I have one with the bose system. Rears kicked butts, but the front 3" ovals did not put out enough for me.

I have the factory deck (with cass.) and I have a line on a duel deck (cass. and CD) Let know if interested in either. I also have the facotry Speakers front (with door mounts) and rear standard mount.

i put some 6.5 inch components up front in my accord... needed a one inch spacer to do it, woulda hit the glass otherwise. i also had some 6x9's in the rear. of course i had those sittin in some MDF enclosures....you have no idea how much bass you can get out of a 6x9 until you stick em in some enclosures sounded like i had a couple 8 inchers in there

If you know how to install as there is a good 2-3" in speaker cover of front door that you can put a custom spacer ring, then have full size 6.5's in the door. I have Rock Fos. Power 250w in doors with custom spacer rings.

So not have to go short cause of window, just have to know how to MOD it.
