Vents not blowing out hot air - 2000 Accord
Have a 2000 Accord LX, 45,000miles, Canadian model bought in the D (Detroit), no probs until now.
The heat worked, was blowing out hot air, up until a month ago. The heater seems to still be working, you can feel there's heat if you reach under the dash, it's just not blowing the hot air out anymore. If the blower is at level 1, you can somewhat feel warm air, but once you turn to 2, 3 or 4, it fades to cold freakin air. This happens on all settings - face, floor, face/floor...and on defrost, there's no warmth at all since the AC is kicking in.
I live in Chicago, so I'm not trying to get caught up in a cold ride much longer... HELP?!?

I would suspect the drive motor for your heater vent selection is broken. It can be accessed under the dash and replaced. If you hear no movement when the vent selection is changed, the motor is very likely bad. However, I would check fuse to this circuit before replacing.
good luck
good luck
By any chance, do you have a leak of antifreeze onto your front floor mats? If so, it is most likely a bad heatercore. If not, I'd go with a bad blower.
heater core is most likely the problem. but it could be a bad coolant bypass valve. the heater core is a pain in the *** to do but 2 people can do it in a weekend easy.
Nope, there's no obvious leaks of any fluids inside or outside. And we checked fuses, all are good. So should I have my brother start with the vent blower?
