Default give me your thoughts...

Okay I am going to try and make this easy and quick...yes, I did search, and yes I still am looking for answers, but more specifically opinions...

I drive a 94 cx hatch with a sohc vtec d16z6. Just yesterday morning on my way to work, my clutch wasn't giving any resistance and when leaving work later that day my I could not put it into gear. I pumped the clutch about 10 times and it finally went in...I looked and didn't see any leaks.

Now my questions...

I understand thats its most likely my slave cylinder. What about the clutch master cylinder as well? Its most likey both? or most likley only one? I dont really have time to trouble shoot so I figure it's in best interest to replace both the slave and the clutch master cylinder. This problem needs to be fixed immediately aka tomorow.

All in all, where is the best place to locate these parts for a reasonable price? Local honda dealership quoted me $80 for the slave, and $123 for the master.

I heard the slave is pretty easy to install labor wise and heard the master is a bit harder and more time consuming...

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance....

have a friend put hand on the slave cylinder and see if it is moving...if it is and it still isn't going into gear then it is the pressure plate that is the problem

sounds more like the master than the slave. it can leak internally and not show any visible leaks.

still can't figure it out, best thing is to take it for inspection, rather spend couple bucks then suffer while driving (crash etc.)

Okay, so one of the tech's at my work and I looked at it more closely today, and we did locate a leak under the boot of the slave on tranny housing. Looks like I am going to purchase a new slave cylinder. We bled it today and topped off my fluids and there is noticatable improvement and resitance.

Thanks guys
