Default '94 LS B18B1 vs. '94 RS B18B1

Hi, I recently purchased a 94 integ RS which had a B18B1 engine.. i was wondering what the differences would be between this car and an LS model.. would it just be accessories and stuff like that? Is there ANY differences in the engine bay?? Do i have any disadvantages owning an RS as opposed to having an LS, when it comes to fixing up the engine? ADvantages? thank you for any input.. it will be GREATLY appreciated. i'm a noob =0(

There are no differences in the engine bay at all. You can look on http://www.team-integra.net for the actual differences in terms of accessories and options - which include moonroof, etc.

ive got an RS as well.. no difference between the LS engine wise at all. The cool part is that there is no cruise, no ABS, and no sunroof, wich makes them a few pounds lighter.

Why does everyone think RSes have manual windows? They're power. All we lack is a spoiler, moonroof, ABS (which I don't like anyway) and cruise control. All in all, it's not that bad without them, either.

My bad, I am so old that when the 94 Integra came out, the RS did not have power locks - got em confused. I stand corrected! RS INTEGRAS HAVE POWER WINDOWS FROM 94-01!!

no engine differences just weight ( basically its the trim model - options of what comes with the car).. RS - Rally Sport TRIM has mostly just the basics on it no power window or locks... no ABS blah blah... LS- Luxury Sport TRIM is power window, power steering, moon roof..

United States / Canada Models:
RS = Rally Sport
LS = Luxury Sport
LS-S = Special Edition LS
GS = Grand Sport
GS-R = Grand Sport Race

Japanese Models:
XSi -1.6L B16A DOHC Power Everything...(GS-R Package)
RSi -1.6L B16A DOHC Less features (RS or GS).
ZXi -1.6L ZC SOHC luxury package ( LS).
RZi -1.6L ZC SOHC kind of a stripped down LS.
TXi -1.6L ZC SOHC the very basic no frills model.
Thanks to miraiz@gol.com for providing this information.

ESi - 1.8L (Non-VTEC) This level is just below the XSi, but better equipped than ZXi.
Thanks to Scott McLanachan (From New Zealand) for providing this information.

The new models (round headlights) came out in 1993 and were GSi (1.8i DOHC) and a VTi-R (1.8i DOHC VTEC).
Thanks to Rob Askew from Honda New Zealand Ltd. for providing this information.

Sounds like an LS to me. I have a 92 LS with no abs, moonroof, manual locks, cruise control, power windows, 14 inch hubcaps, and that's about it.

ive seen your sketches for your dual cold air/short ram and everyone told you on teamintegra it wasnt possible...due to the fact of turbulence cause youd be using one tube and etc etc....and if you think about it...it really doesnt sound possible...if so im sure it would have been done long before you came up with the idea by AEM or someone

maybe it is not possible but you never know and besides this post is or at least was relevent to the differents betwen the 94 ls and 94 rs. Besides not every though the same way some people do want to know the results even if a major company would of or had try the project i would like to know the results any way. So i can be educated. Besides the if turbalance would be crated there are several ways to control it. anyways this is not the right topic to talk about this.

hey flying dutchmen.. if you give me the VIN number to your car I can check out if your car is an LS or RS when I go to work tomorrow.. I have the Mitchell On Demand CD-ROM there and it explains what each number in the Integra's VIN number signifies.

I think he was talking about the fact that you said the 'S' in LS, GS, etc refers to Sport, when in fact it stands for 'Series'. Or maybe that the R stands for Regular and not Rally. That's what I assumed when I read his reply, so it would be:

RS - Regular Series
LS - Luxury Series
GS - Grand Series
GSR - Grand Series Racing

Same argument here, I guess it's Team Integra vs. G2IC, some guy in the thread I posted says 51% of people say it's series
