I bought some rubber inserts from Walmart and they were crappy. They were too soft and didnt do a good job. If i were I'd get some Bosch Mircroedge Excel blades. They're a little pricey, but well worth the money.

you have to get a new blade. the 'rubber piece' is the part of the blade tearing off.

I used to swear by Bosch blades, until they stopped selling just the refills.

They are still the best, but dammit I'm not going to throw away my OEM wiper frames, which have a little aerodynamic edge and the word "Honda" on them.

So I just buy crappy inserts and replace them more often. In my experience even Bosch blades don't last more than 6 months (you should replace your wipers at least every 6 months if you live where it rains regularly), but I will not spend $20+ to replace the entire blades and frames every 6 months. Damn you Bosch.

I agree. It sucks they no longer sell the inserts. I just bit the bullet and bought the ones that were complete assemblies.

I refuse to do it since they will still go to crap after 6 months or so anyway.

I just buy cheap and keep replacing them. Usually I end up modding some inserts to fit my OEM wiper frames. I still have the metal stiffener strips that were in the last set of Bosch inserts I had, and I usually use them in whatever cheap inserts I get.

I had to return two walmart blades this week. Decided to go with some gimmicky trico teflon wiper inserts. Hasn't rained since so I can test them out
