Default What are the best "HID" look bulbs?

Alright guys, first off I'm a broke college student, so that means no real HID kit for me anytime soon. But I want something thats a little brighter and looks like HIDs. I got Silvanya Silverstar bulbs right now and they don't look much different from stock to me, PIAA are a little to rich for my blood (can you tell i did search first, before i posted this).

So can people show me their cheap *** bulbs and how they look. I personally like Nokya bulbs, I had them in my integra, but i want something new. If anyone has pics of the Nokya Artic Purple in their car, i'm curious to see how those look.

Anyways lets see them.......... and please no "just save for HIDs" comments.

Honestly, for the amount of difference it makes, I wouldn't bother. The 9005 conversion is good, but in my experience, those bulbs burn out quick and you're out $$ every few months when they do.

Save the $ you'd be wasting on this kinda stuf towards HID's, they're well worth it.

Those silver stars are going to be the brightest/whitest you'll get. If you want brighter halogen. You'll just get hotter temperature bulbs and more blue in the light
9005 is 1700 Luminous compared to 1000 to the one you have now.
I'm rocking H4 silver stars on my car and they're like 20% better than stock.

I don't have any pics of Nokya Arctic Purples, but i've seen them in a friends eg, and they would be what I recommend if you want a HID look alike. They were they most colourful bulbs i've ever seen that actually put out a great output, unlike some stupid Cuzo's I had that were crazy blue, but I couldn't see ****.... I'd definantly recomend the arctic purples... If I wasn't planing on HIDs, they'd be the next bulbs I would get

If you want the HID look then pick up a set of PIAA "Xteme White" bulbs. The light had a very white appearance with just a slight hint of blue. Looked good and had a surprisingly good light output for a blue bulb.
