Help diagnose ticking and smoking issue....
first the pic

okay, i started up my car this morning and started heading out my neighborhood when i heard a LOUD ticking noise. i turn the car around and bring it back home and it started smoking white.
popped the hood, filled radiator fluid wit water as a quick fix to see if it would stop smoke. turned the car on, checked the engine and all the water was pooring out that one spot where the green rad fluid is. so i know its leaking.
im thinking headgasket. but does hg cause LOUD ticking noise?
what else might it be? any other gaskets that might leak and cause smoke while ticking?
thanks

yea guy the same thing happened to me and it turned out to be a water pump gone bad
and paying for a new water pump from Acura is a b*tch
also the smoke im pretty sure is because the antifreeze was leaking out from a seal or gasket like you said before
good luck man, i don't think its going to be that bad to fix

Look for moisture and coolant around where the head meets the block. I dealt with this exact leak and had coolant sitting where yours is. If you don't see coolant, look for orange residue around the head. The orange is from the coolant burning off on the block from heat.
isn't the head-gasket a little further up on the engine?
because from the clues you stated the ticking i guarantee it is the water pump
go ask a mechanic and ask him what he thinks
i was just trying to help a fellow integra out

Focus on the area inside the yellow. If you have to, wash or clean up that area where the coolant is now, leave the hood open, have someone start the car and rev it up a little, keep a close eye on that area and around the head seal itself, see if there's any coolant coming out slowly.

yeah, thats what i was talking about. i barly had coolant left. so just to test, i put in some water into radiator
turned the car on. and right where you circled, is where all the water was GUSHING out.

Change the head gasket and check if your head/ block is warp.

As you can see there is anti-freeze all over the place . When the temp in you engine area rises to a certain degree it will evaporate it, in return you see a white smoke coming from your engine bay. The big issue would be if this smoke was coming out of your exhaust, in that case i would say u probably have a prob w/ your head gasket. but if you are just getting the smoke from the engine bay it may just be a cracked rubber hose or loose fitting. I would check all the hoses before anything else. I had some what the same experience,( i had my engine rebuilt, drove home to find out my engine was smoking, i was pist and called the shop swearing up a storm. I drove back 2 hrs to find out it was a stupid hose that was cracked.
) hopefully this will help
