WTT: my Koni/GC's for your stockers+$ (anyone building a race kaaaah?)
yup, time to go back, even more stock!
I posted this in this forum section first to give the racers a chance on my setup... before it goes into the classified section where flakers are plentiful.
-----> Is anyone looking for a daily drivable but perfect autox suspension setup for their 94+ Integra or '92-'95 Civic? Someone here just buy a stock DC/EG and looking to build it up? I want to run stock shocks and springs from a 94+ Integra or a '92-'95 Civic and get some cash in the trade because my Civic will no longer be my autox car and it will likely be sold after driving it this winter.
So, I have EG/DC koni yellows, all are externally adjustable and all are in excellent condition, I am using them everyday and they are great! On these shocks is a Ground Control custom rate setup, 450 in/lb rear springs and 350 in/lb fronts, plus I still have the off-the-shelf 250 in/lb rear springs that will be included if you want them. The ground control sleeves are the special units that mount directly to the koni yellow shaft/c-clip, so there is no separate silver spring perch clanging around. This complete setup cost me over $900 to put together around 2 years ago (yes the extra springs made it $120 more) and has only been used for almost 15k miles, half on the 350/250 rates and half on the 350/450 rates. They are in excellent condition and my 2000 pound EG handles beautifully on this specific setup even without any swaybars, its very predictable and just tailhappy enough at the limit to really perform well. They are still on my car now, never bottomed out, never damaged, car is dropped probably 2-3 inches and mostly babied since I only live 7 minutes from my job but I have done some highway driving to friends houses or paperwork/tooling pickups. No pictures.. yet, does anyone need pics?
I'd prefer to trade these with someone who has good condition stock shocks and stock springs so we can unbolt both setups to make the swap without much hassle or downtime. Yes, I do need something usable since the EG is now my daily driver. Dont expect me to be happy to try and use your 180k+ mile stock shocks if they are leaking and the springs are cracked.
I'm looking for $550 plus your stock complete shock/spring/tophat assemblies shipped to me, then I will do the swapout and ship this Koni'GC setup to you and I'll pay to ship these to you.
Or if you are local to Western NY, I'd be willing to do all of the work on the swapout for $625 cash, plus your stockers.
You can respond to this thread or PM me here or email me at owen_the_soyboy@yahoo.com (no AIM for me) but PM is probably the quickest.
Any takers?

Damn,
I have 2 complepe sets of springs and 1 1/2 sets of shocks for a 92-95 Civic. I would love to do this swap but I just bought a set of Volks for my S2000.
I might want to trade you the springs and shocks I have for the 450lb rear GC springs only.

compared to H&R coilovers?
my koni/GC setup is cheaper and has stiffer rear springs for better balance not to mention rebuildble in a shorter timeframe and can even be shortened and revalved to handle stiffer rates if you decide to go super-pro.
