WEll today i just got it running I had spark and fuel the whole time but wouldnt start. WEll i was messing with the plug wires making spark and jumping fromt he starter and it started up.

WEll i just went outside and there has been a little steem coming from around the header area while it was running no smell first i thought was smoke. Well i go to rev a little and it chkes so i back off and try it slooow and it does fine then i tried a quick blip and BLAAHh choke choke ppssst sound and steam or oderless smoke out of my intake and it dies?!! WtF man? Im going to have to have our pastor come do an exorcist or something? Ive never see that before anyone tell me what? well if its steem then has to be moisture somewhere in the motr or something..because that must have been a back fire just slow because it was air not fire..no water should have got in there i mean if it did then it waited like 2 days before something happened??

were you manhandling the header before starting it up? IE getting the oils from your hands all over it? or grease? That can make it smoke for a little while...

nope i didnt have anything on my hands i only touched the plug wires anyway. I kept trying to smell it and no smell at all..heagasket blown? timing jumped a tooth but never acted weird? i really dont know...i was missing some radiator fliud a week or so back...that would explain steem and could explain it not running...i'll go check timing first and bring it to tdc

 

If it was anti-freeze you would smell it...

 

well and thats just it...i dont have a whole lot of antifreeze in it cause its been missing so i refill then missing so i refill again with just plain water...so might not be much to smell just water steeming...i'll cehck later when i get home..put a cloth over the plug holes and crank and see if my pistons are clean as hell on top same iwht my plugs then its that...
