Before you guys fly off the handle, yes I have used search and came up with some pretty useful information about installing these...I have the diagram with the exterior placement measurments from PatrickGSR94 and I have also visited http://www.g2ic.com and read about the install in their "Teg Tips". My question is this...Can anyone give me a picture or a measurement for the hole that you have to cut in the fender. I was thinking that I could just flip the sidemarker over on a piece of paper and trace around the edges and that would work but it just seems like that hole will be too big to hold the sidemarker in place. Can anyone give me some helpful information on the measurments for the hole that I am going to have to cut out? Thanks!

ya bro im doing the same thing as you, but 1 step ahead... I used the same pic from patrick, measured off where the marker will go...once you got the spot, use a sharpie and mark off 2inch wide 1 1/8inch tall...This is not the exact size, but more a starting point, cause theres only like 1/8inch "play" before you screw up....get my drift?

Yeah I searched hard enough and yes I saw that diagram but how in the world am I supposed to understand some auto cad diagram? Not that easy to understand...that pic inside the sidemarker...is that supposed to be the hole that I need to cut?

 

it's not an autocad drawing, it's just a diagram I got off some website that shows the shape of the hole you cut out, dimensioned in millimeters.

This particular diagram is for EG Civics, showing the placement of the sidemarker in relation to the little piece of side molding they have on the front fenders. DC's use the same sidemarkers, so use this for the size of the hole, and use my other pic for placement on the fender.
