My V-Tec wont kick in
Hey fellas i have a question i just got my " Catt " put back on my exsaust and all the sudden my check engine came on . I know that its the o2 censor but im wondering could my o2 censor stop my v-tec from kicking in

Yes on VTEC motors from what i know, if the CEL come on, sometimes vtec doesnt work or doesnt work as hard. Its a good idea to check the codes to see what exactly went wrong.

Huh?! There's no level to the amount of VTEC that kicks in. It either works or it doesn't work.

Fellas i know my car it's a GSr lolol come on man ... i I know its o2 censor i jumped the computer and it was my o2 but i wanna if the o2 can stop my v-tec from kicking in

LoL This guy is funny. Already so many people who said "yes" or "probably so" and he still asks the same question. Since everyone else is saying yes then it IS keeping your V-TEC from kicking in. Replace the O2 sensor and see if that wont fix your problem. ~_~

Ight i changed the o2 censor imma restart my ecu and ill let u guys know how it turns out lol thx for the help fellas hope i get this **** to work .........Pain in my f--ckin ***
i took out my o2 sensor to put in a high flow cat an my vtec still kicks in fine... it threw of the engine check but it didnt make a diff. -98 gsr i have

how do you know when Vtec kicks in? i know all bout how it works and that (bar the codes of course...(!!) but is there that much of a noticeable increase in power when it does kick in? I've got a 1990 XSi with a B16A under the hood, and of course I get power when the revs go over 4000 and that, but is it that noticeable?
