Default ITR Transmission in a Teg SE

I'm thinking about about putting a ITR tranny onto my B18B (96 SE). I'm assuming this will easly bolt in, correct? Also has anybody any experience as to the quickness increase I'll get. Or if not with this transmission, has anyone seen a GSR or Civic SI tranny in a LS before. The main reason I want the ITR one is because it comes with the LSD standard, and I could always put in the LS final drive if I the gearing is too much.

for NA set ups this is great the tight gearing can be felt right away... the car will feel like a new car since it revs up real quick.. downside it revs high on the freeway 3.5-4krpm @ 60 mph and a little poorer gas milage..

I love mine yes, it revs up real quick ( i also got the itr flywheel) and in shifting between gears the rpms only drop 1000 or so 2 to 3, 3 to 4gears

as for the highway driving suffering, i guess i dont mind too much because im not on the highway that much.

I have a JDM B16 tranny in my GSR, and honestly it kicks ***. Feels like a totally new car, rev's faster, accelerates faster. Highway revs are high, but in a way it keeps me from exceeding the speed limit since 65 mph is already almost 4K rpm.

Great info guys,

I thought about the high RPM's keeping me from driving fast all the time, since I do 80 all the time on the highway....mostly cause I know where all the cops hide on I-30 between Ft. Worth and Dallas .Thats cool that it helps considerably, also does that allow you to pretty much stay in 5th when on the highway, since the rpms are higher and gearing is taller?

yes you can keep it in 5th more to pass, the first couple days i had it and my motor in i had to keep the revs down, i was driving it around in 5th most of the time and keeping it below 4k, and it had decent acceleration

is it a straight replacement for the tranny that comes with the LS...IE just different gears inside and a LSD instead of an open differential?
