Default tranny problems

I was driving home one night and I shifted and the car did a little jerk and ever since then i have had problems with my tranny. When i get into the higher rpm range, say above 3500, ill push the clutch in and my tranny just doesn't wanna change gears and i have to pull hard as hell to get it out of gear and then into the next gear. Also at those higher rpms, ill push the clutch in and it doesn't seem to disengage until the rpms get to about 2000. What could the problem be?Clutch? Or is it time for a new tranny?

hmmm. it is kind of hard to say. what motor is in your car?? is it still the stock motor and tranny??? when you push the clutch approaching a stop sign when you are on the brakes is it taking a while to disengage???? maybe mistabone might have a diagnosis for yah.

yeah it takes a while to disengage at the higher rpms. It a LS motor in tranny in a 94 civic hatchback.

maybe start by checking your fluid level and bleeding your system. if your clutch isnt disengaging it is going to be hard to switch gears.

What brand cluth are you running? I had an ACT heavy duty pressure plate that had the fingers on the diaphram bend inwards, hence when i pushed the pedal it didn't fully disengage and i had to pull( or push ) the hell out of the shifter to change gears.
