well my dad just replaced my tranny when i tell him not to. boredom i guess? i had a old cx tranny and now its im guessing a ex tranny because the car feels like it pulls more and 1st gear actually chirps lol. feels faster like better acceleration. s20 tranny.

quick question. whats the easiest way to mess up a tranny to make it seem like its from natural wear and tear?

 

burnouts, powershifting, high rpm clutch dumps, riding the clutch

 

change gears without using the clutch?

why would you want to do that?

 

Your FIRST gear didnt churp before??????? Sounds like a problem with your driving and not your tranny. As far as trying to break your tranny purposly and makin it look like natural wear and tear just keep drivin like you do now

nah my old tranny never chirped 1st. it was really old and mess up. it always "tick tick tick tick" lol. even with a new clutch it still didnt chirp.

now its nice to chirp 1st all the time but i still think it was a waste of $300 because im gona trash it later on anyway. of course my dad doesnt know that. lol

u can, u just have to have the right amount of gas and certain rpm's or boom, u only get like 2 chances before u **** up ur tranny. maybe u can do that.

 

easy. he wont help me get my swap if he sees nothing wrong wit my engine and tranny now.

i told him not to change it because ima do a swap later on but since his camry got fucked up and he uses my car for work, the noise generated by my old tranny annoyed him so he changed it. even though i didnt pay for it, i still think he shoulda just let my old tranny die.

but since its here now, ima ride the ****** til the gears fall off.

nope, not at all, i do it everyonce in a while when goin from 3rd to 4th, dont **** up my tranny any more than it is already. all i gotta do from 3rd to 4th is rev to EXACTLY 1500 rpm and it goes in right nicely. You should really send me your tranny if you dont want it, i could use a new one

 

if my tranny survives before getting swapped then ill sell it to you. your near me anyways...sorta

if my dad did a tranny swap for me, i'd be pretty happy. unless of course it was goin to a dx/cx/vx tranny, cuz i like my si's(minus the bad 3rd gear synchro)

however it is your car. if you want a swap, i'd blow the engine, not the tranny. else your dad will most likely fix the tranny.

if you really want a swap and want to appreciate it, pay for it yourself. i love my car, as bad as it is sometimes, because i put so much into it.

 

hes gona help me get my swap not pay for everything. prolly half. i dont work cuz im in college right now.

the only way hell help me swap is if my motor and tranny is fucked. the plan is to trash it like next summer or when i get the money to swap then hell help me.

 

thats still pretty sickening
