finally ditched the drums..Pics!
Well, I finally after years of procrastinating, I broke down and hauled *** up to the junk yard to find parts to do my rear disk conversion. Just thought I'd share some pics and tips for those that give a damn.
I located a complete rear suspension off a 95 ex at the local salvage yard for $200, which I thought was a hell of a deal considering it had all the e-brake lines and everything.
Heres a pic after I got it home:
After I cleaned em up a bit, I disassembled everything, and hit it with a nice fresh coat of black VHP brake and caliper paint.
Went ahead and swapped out the pads and lines while I was at it too.
This is what it looked like put back together:
Now the hard part, puttin the **** in. I don't have access to an air compressor at the house, soo I picked up this Dewalt electric impact gun for about $180 from Home depot. I'm sure their are cheaper ones out there that are just as good I'm sure.

Don't think cause it's electric that its not strong, this puppy cranks out 240 ft/lbs.
Since I had the complete suspension assembly from the EX, all I did was drop mine out and bolt this one in up in it's place. I highly reccommend getting a set up with the e-brake lines already hooked up since it looks like it would have been a pain in the *** to hook up otherwise. Honestly the hardest part of this swap was doing it by myself without an extra hand. Once everthing was bolted down good, bleed all the lines good to get all the air and garbage out. Hooked up and adjusted ebrake and was good to go.
Soo heres a before and after:
Before:

After:

Seem to be working well soo far. Have'nt had a chance to really test em out yet, but will do soon enough. For some reason my rear wheels have been covered in brake dust, but hopefully thats just the pads breaking in. Next step will be to install an adjustable proportioning valve and larger master cylinder. Sorry for the poor grammar, hope you could follow everything.

yeah, I could post a how too, but it's pretty self explanatory once you get into it. I did'nt have any instructions other than my helms. Just take your time and make sure everythings nice and tight and you'll be golden.
The hardest part IMO was running the e-brake lines back into the car, and that was'nt even that hard.
Pm me if you have any specific Q's.
