Here is my set up...are 12's possible??
I have 98 civic hatch back with a 99 B18C1...the mods include:
-ACT clutch
-Toda flywheel
-Brand new ITR head (complete with lost motion assemblies, rockers, and cams)
-ITR Intake Manifold
-Mugen head gasket
-Jdm Itr pistons (std)
-Toda cam gears
-ITR AEM CAI
-BFG Drag Radials (205/50/15)
-DC Jdm Header
-2.5" Custom cat-back exhaust
-P28 Ecu with skunk2 program
-no power steering
I know I need some cams and a valve train upgrade....but besides that what else can I do to reach the 12 sec mark? Would it be worth it for me to upgrade my pistons to CTR pistons or should I stick with the Jdm ITR's?
thanks.

your almost there. big cams/ gears adjusted. and some goooooooood tuning on the dyno and your definatly a low 13 maybe 12's on slicks. I went 13.7 w/ stock cams, stock pistons in a ls/vtec on bfg's in a 92 vx hatch. w/ carpet and rear seats removed... its mos definatly possible My goal is to get into the 12's w/skunk2stage2's and ctr pistons w/ good tuning. and i know its possible

and this also isnt your ITR

We have a similar setup in an 89' HF minus the ITR pistons. It runs 13.70's @ 98mph. w/ 2.0 60' times. 12's are definately harder to get than you would expect (all motor that is

Your going to need more then that for 12s.
Also I would not use CTR pistons and jun 3 cams. the jun 3s like lots of compression. look at a set of 12.5 to 1 compression endyne rollerwaves. do the pistons, cams, and some headwork and you will be into the 12s with good traction and driving.

its dependant on your hp and driving skills. i would say it'll be low 13's....a local guy with an EG Type R runs 13.3 with 20" slicks...
Eg 2050 W/driver, 94 B18c1, itr pistons and cams, s2 im, no tune and slicks. 13.1@101 1.760ft. Weight reduction and slicks your there.
well phil not to jack the thread but once i change the full throttle launch and get my slicks back from you im going to run 12.9s. That is a promise. At least i think its possible with a good tune.
