Default H&R or Eibach

For those who have either owned or experienced the ride on both Sport models, which would you say is a better product? I'm leaning toward H&R due to price, but I've heard nothing bad about Eibachs. These would be paired with Koni Yellows. Are Ground Controls worth the price. I've searched the topic but I get major conflictions with H&R's quality.

I like the H+R's. ground controls are great also. you can do more for the car with them

You haven't noticed the springs to be too low, different from what is advertised?

what do you mean too low. the sports from H+R don't lower too low at all and ground control is adjustable so no need to make it super low

Somebody had said in a thread I searched that the H&R sports were a 3" drop, when they actually advertised a 1.8" drop

i have H&R's on my hatch and its slammed and i love the ride still have stock struts too. if u have the koni yellows ur ride will most likely be lovely with them.. i also have the tenzo R springs on my coupe and that ride isnt too bad either good luck either way u go. i just wouldnt suggest getting coil overs becuz if u dont spend at least 800 bucks ur not going to have a nice ride.. good luck man.

I've just heard Ground Controls are awesome. I really don't plan on changing ride height once installed, plus I don't want to have to pay to cornerweight. So H&R springs are fairly good quality with a good ride?

I have H&R race springs on my si, the ride is nice. The drop is like 2.5 in the front and 2.25 in the rear. Had a nice tuck with the stock 15 inchers, now I have a perfect stance with 16 inchers(tires 205/45/16). The quality is great haven't had a problem yet, hitting potholes...etc. I have seen the H&R sports on another si and it was still kinda high, there was a pretty decent wheel gap.
Overall H&R parts are great

the H+R sports only lower like 1.75 to 2" front and 15" to 1.75' rear. the race ones go to 2.25-2.5" and 1.75-2" rear. both kits are good for a street car on a budget. they have nice springs rates. ground control is great but yes you are right you would mainly only adjust if you corner weight and most people don't do that. if you match the H+R with the konis that is a good combo. I used and sold those alot with good results

I have nothing bad to say about the H&R sports... I installed them on my gf's car (98 ls) with Koni yellows and it rides great... Haven't heard one complaint about it... IMO, as long as you have good struts (illuminas or koni adj) then your ride should be fine, and handle great.

has any one tried the omni power slip on coilovers on Koni Yellows yet? They've got a killer deal for those and camber kits on their site.

that's about 1/2" lower than my friends 99 ex with eibach sportlines. the sportlines are a bit soft imo.

I have the H&R race springs. Dropped the car 2.5 all around. I have them married up with Tokiko 5 way adjustable shocks. Makes for a nice ride. Car isn't too low. I can just cruise right through dips without slowing down too much. Be prepared for a stiff ride though.

yeah its a daily driver, I dont have any clearance problems. The only time I ever scraped was when I had the 15 inchers and 3 people in the car going into a parking lot. And the car was hella slow not to say it isnt slow now

I have had both the Eibach Sportline and the regular H&Rs (I think they were the sports). I would go with the Eibach if your looking for a firmer ride. The H&R's were soft as a baby carage, but there was just too much roll.

Heres my car. Personally I hate these srpings, they are very soft and dont slam the car very much. I dont know about H&R's ride but its probably a better bet to stick with H&R, hope this helps
