How Do I Get The Fiberglass Look In My Interior???
Can someone instruct me in very good detail on how I can make a fiberglass mold of my door panels, dash, console, and every other piece of trim in my car? Like do I just take the panel off and lay the fiberglass over the contours of the piece, then prime and paint it, and leave it on top of the panel? What paint would I use to give it that shiny look? Will I have to take it to a professional painter (as in one that would paint car and body kits) to get that real glossy, metallic looking finish, or is there someway I can get that from a spray can paint? Any expertice is greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance.
i suppose u can lay the fiberglass on ur dash and such but u run the risk of ruining them. then if u ever wanna sell ur car or ur interior parts, u cant sell them because theyre ruined. as for paint, since ur fiberglass interior pieces are gonna look homemade anyway, use wal-mart spray paint and primer. hey its function over fashion right?

How can I keep them from looking homemade? That was the purpose of the question: To see how I can get a nice fiberglass interior and see if I can do it myself...

gay... but to answer the question... take whatever youre gonna fiberglass off, wrap it in saran-wrap, so the fiberglass wont stick. buy fiberglass mat and the resin and hardner.... cut the mat in 6"x6" sheets, and do 1-2 at a time.... takes alot of resin. after first layer, you can peel the fiberglass object off.... and from there, add another layer. do at least 2... 3 to be safe. then sand it nice and smooth, and paint.... for a dash, probally gonna need 2 gallons of resin alone, will run you at least $100 for 2 gallons and the mat - just to do a dash.
