Default vent blower isn't working on number 1,2

My 92 vx only 3,4 works for the vent. Would anyone know what to check for? 1,2 doesn't blow but when i put it on 3,4 it'll blow as normal. thanks.

If it's anything like the 91's, there is a resistor pack that bolts into the blower assembly, usually on the front edge, pointing up. That's what controls the speeds. They are about 20-25 from Honda, at least for the older ones.

edit - just checked the service manual, and it is indeed where I thought.

I've had several cars do similar things. It usually turns out to be the switch. Test to see if you're getting power at the blower.

if the blower is working on 3 and 4 then it is the blower motor resister as rpr has said. this is fairly common. also it is exactly were rpr days and all you will need is a phillips screwdriver to do it.

The failure could be either the switch or the resisitor on the blower. Either should be easy to test.
