I have a 87 crx,it has a 16 valve efi.a few weeks ago i lost my only set of keys in a lake in a shitty fishing f*ck up.I was urgent to drive so a buddy broke into my ignition barrel for me.For about two weeks i drove it until not knowing why i couldn't start it,i was informed to just pop my clutch so for another two weeks i have went from poppin my clutch to replacing my 60 amp fuse under the hood.Three days ago i lent out my car and my freind returned by my car did not. i went showed him the blown fuse and used a gum wrapper to make it almost home it then ran completly dry on gas.Now im left with a ignition that turns on but when i pop my clutch it only starts and dies, i have absolutely no response from my gas pedal at all.I checked my ecu and the light stays on all the time?is that good?It also used to beep when i turned the ignition on. is this a broken ecu?or a failure in my ignition system and if so where do i start?I'm broke and i have about 24 hours before my car must move.PLEASE tell me ECU or what. wow, sounds like u gots some problems, first no more gum wrappers for fuses, and it go to a junk yard and get a new tumbler, idont knw bout the ecu the light shouldnt b on at all if theres no codes bein thrown

 

i've got a spare ignition and key if your interested

 

sounds like your car is dying in and out.. need a new car or a overhaul
