Strange Wobble/Shake
Car -- 92 Accord Lx
Problem -- Car shakes as if the axle is having issues. However both boots are just fine and no clicking. Replaced Drivers side upper ball joint because that was shot and for a second thought that fixed it. Nope. Anyone ever had something strange like this happen, what was a solution.
You feel it in the pedal but not in the steering wheel?? its just strange
I am thinking wheel bearing... what are all your thoughts?
Thanks guys

Have you ever replaced yours?
Or has anyone?

Hard to say without test driving it.
Usually, wheel bearings will be noisy when going out. But then again. If you feel the vibration only in the pedal, and not in the steering wheel, i would look at other things first.
How are your tires?
How much vibration?
At what speeds?
Is it consistent vibration or does it increase with speed?

Ok good questions I was hoping someone would ask
The vibration only occurs when you are accelerating usually up a smaller incline.
All tires are fine except she has a flat spot on her passenger side front. Now dont jump on that bandwagon yet, this is a different shake then that one.
Could the tires just be way out of balance?

I don't jump on the bandwagon. I usually know what i am talking about when it comes to cars.
Hmmm... Vibration under load right????
Is it possible that your wheel lug nuts may be loose?
It is possible that the tires need balancing.
Does the engine vibrate when idling? Will your car vibrate violently???

Well, I know that if the tires are out of balance you sometimes get a shake at higher speeds. A buddy of mine has a Toyota truck that has a nasty shake at around 50-55. It's really only speed that makes it happen, it doesn't matter if it's under load or not.
So, does it do it when you are just coasting, if you let off the gas at freeway speeds does it still do it.
Now, if it is infact oonly doing this whle under load, I'd start to suspect soem kind of motor issue. I don't see what the engine being under load has to do with a tire balance issue or anything like that.

It will do it when you are coasting too. It feels as if one of the axles is shot but they are both fine, we double checked them. Then we noticed her upper ball joint was shot so we replaced it and thought this fixed it but its still doing the shake.
It is definitely coming from either the supsension, wheel/tire, or somewhere close. It honestly doenst feel like engine.
Picture this --- it almost feels the same as when your rotors are shot and you brake at high speeds.. but in reverse its at low speeds

Now if I am driving around town it does it very randomly. Mostly up hills and even more if the weight is on that side of the car. And if my car is cold it doesn't really do it. Its more a problem if I have been driving it all day. I have noticed it when I come to stop only if I have been driving it for a while.

That is a good way to describe it because it is like that rotation of wobble not the drive axle way of wobble.

If it was a wheel bearing wouldn't you feel it a little in the steering wheel? Also wouldn't it do it all the time? A Bad wheel bearing isn't an intermittent type of thing.

Atleast on a honda I can even change my own tire. You have to look at your owners manual. haha

yeah, i felt pretty stupid. I dusted all the snow off and then sat in the car for 15 min. trying to figure out how in the hell to melt with frost off the windshield.

it wasnt intermittent, it started one day and kept getting worse until a week later the car felt like the entire suspension on that wheel was gonna fall off
