Default OT:ITR Springs on my 00 Si...installation...works great!!

Thanks to ThePunk for helping me out. Took us hours, but whocares...
Thanks to Rdriver for his ITR springs.
NOTE: I did this for PERFORMANCE reasons. Not for the snobby effect of having ITR springs for the sake of saying "I have ITR spring so " and If you know anyone with a 99-00 Si that just want's a mild suspension change.

First off, here is a pic of the stock height. Note: Only change to the suspension are the the tires (Bridgestone Ponteza RE730 205/50R15 @ 40psi warm) AND Skunk2 front STB, which is MUCH STIFFER than the stock bar. I highly recommend this bar, if you cannot afford Mugen, and tired of Comptech's slightly stiffer version of the ITR front stb.

IMPRESSIONS:
I have these springs installed with the Stock Si shocks. So far, and ride has been improved. Not by a whole lot, but enough to notice the stiffer ride. Weight transfer to the rear during hard acceleration feels much better. Because of the stiffer rear spings, the front wheels stick better during launch. This is also helped with the stiffer springs up front. In addition, the slightly lower ride height helps.

Freeway cruising is nice. It's a bit stiffer, and you can feel the road more, but the car feels more controllable at speeds excess of 110mph. Driving around too feels more rough, but I'm able to take the turns much harder. The work between the Z-rated rubber of the RE730's, combined with the Skunk2 bar, and the new ITR springs, do work quite well.

The springs rates are about 25 to 35 percent stiffer than the stock springs, and with rears being progressive, the rotates better around turns. Stock Si springs rears are 201Front/99.5Rear. Whereas the ITR springs are 247Front/197-247Rear. I really like the fact that the car isn't very low. Much like the Eibach Pro-Kit would lower the Si, the ITR springs do a good job. The wheel well gaps have are smaller, and more livable to look at.

All in all, i like this setup. out of four

There are several reasons why I went for the ITR Springs

Cost - $60 shipped compared to around $200 for the Pro-kit. I don't like the way the Pro-kit will lower my car. Although it is nice, and the springs are great.
$200 for springs + $450 for Koni Yellows = $650.
ITR Springs $60 + four hours of mine & Dion's time + $40 for dinner + Working on my own ride + learning more abou

WOW, are you sure you had stock springs before? I swear that car looks raised. Maybe i'm just too used to seeing lowered cars...Anyways, good job on the install. Looks a lot better and i'm sure it performs better as you said. Oh yeah nice garage.

201Front/99.5Rear....although the rear can be anywhere from 98 to 99.5 depending on who you ask.

In those pics that si looks so high stock. I can probably fit my head in that wheel well. But, i think its worth it if you only paid 60 for them, probably feels so much better than stock.

Easy!
Just remember to align the strut upper mounts before trying to re-install them.

It looks like your rear got raised 0.5"....or maybe you got the pictures mixed up?

-Tommy who loves his stock ITR suspension and wouldn't change it unless it were broken.

We put that on SnyperSiRs car over a year ago when I hatched the idea cuz Snyper's car got VI'd and had to go back to "stock height"

Handles great in the city....there is still some dive.... probably the best all around kit we've ever tested.....best bang for the buck because we ganked the stock springs off a buddy's R......hahaha.....

it's definately a thumbs up mod if you dun have much $$ to play with.....

We were gonna go as far as putting the ST dropforks and pro-arm kit to bring it down even a tad lower.....
