dead battery after only 3 days? help me track down the problem
at first, i thought it was a dying battery since it hasnt been changed in about 5 years. that seemed to fix the problem because before it would only last a day or two before it would die. but now with the new battery, it dies after 3 or 4 days. any ideas. the only thing that i changed in the electrical system is a diy grounding kit. can this cause some sort of battery drainage if done incorrectly? please lemme know, thanks.
bad alternator, maybe some loose wires hitting ground, ... most likely alternator. Heres a way to check if its the alternator,
Start the car, see it run.
Unplug the battery.
Alternator should be running the engine now, if it dies, then its the alternator.

Another thing you could try is turning everything off in your car and connecting an ohmn meter to it. There will be a drain, a very small one like .5 ohmns if it is any greater than that then start pulling fuses until you determine which circuit is causing the drain. Then go from there and solve your problem.
