Little problem
Today i go to crank my car and it doenst turn over.
1990 B16 battery in the back Running a 100wt Circuit breaker on the + side.
I originally had the battery in the back with both a positve and a ground running parrallel to the front (dont ask why)
Well with that setup the car ran ok. But i was advised to make the ground less then a foot long and make the neagtive double the size of the positive wire. Well i ran 2 seperate grounds off the negative termanal to the chasis. I sanded it down pretty well.
Well i crank my car for like 10 seconds and its ok. But i decided to crank it a little longer one time, and Click the circuit breaker trips. Could my car not be starting becaust of poor grounds?
I checked the resistance with my Ohm meter but it sucks (radio shack special 2 years old) so no acurate readings.
Thanks

I used 2 ga for pos and ground. Check the grounds. If everything checks out good, then I'd say the breaker is weak. Try another or better yet get a fuse. Have you checked the connections on the starter?

YES.
is the engine grounded to the chasis well? grounds are very inportant.
you should do 2ga from the batt to the chasis, then chasis to trans, valve cover to chasis. (i do 2 of them) do a voltage drop. put your volt meter on 12 volts scale, put the red lead on the negative post, then put the black lead on the body. crank it. if you have less than say 11 volts, i cant remember the specific number, your grounds arent enough. you should have battery voltage there while cranking.

yeah i redid the valve cover - frame and transmission to frame.
I will try that tommorrow. I just thought that if you didnt have a good enough ground from battery the car wouldnt even attempt to crank.
