car harder to start with less fuel
btw, i searched for this already
i just noticed that when my car is lower on fuel, its harder to start... and it gets worse with the less fuel i have...
when i have a full tank of gas, it takes only 1 crank to start the car...
when the car is down to half a tank of gas, it will take 2-3 cranks... when its down to a quarter of a tank, it can take up to 6-8 cranks before it starts...
when its down to about 1/8 of a tank, it takes about 10 cranks, the car will start and then stall... and then when i turn the key again, it cranks 2 times and starts fine...
after the car is started it runs fine... its not so low that the low fuel light comes on or anything... its never dangerously low...
its really annoying...

When you are lower on fuel, turn your key to secondary (i think?) and let the fuel pump prime. I do it when im low on fuel, takes 1 or 2 cranks to start. It seems like its pretty common among honda's, civics anyway.
Dude, don't drive below 1/4 a tank of gas. Its not good for your in tank fuel pump. It can cause lack of lubrication. Actually, this was a general rule of thumb in auto. Someone wanna verify this?

ehh you can go lower than 1/4, just dont go all the way to E. it picks up the **** on the bottom of the tank, not really lack of lubrication. because if that was the case it would be lack of fuel getting to the engine too.
and its pretty normal for that to happen, just let the pump prime for a couple seconds before you start it.
