F20B, or H22A. Accord 92'
Hey all. I own a 92' accord sedan with a swapped 2.2L from an 96' Acura CL (i beilve in accord ex models to) what kind of motor is this? Also Im looking into the Euro-R accord engine (F20B), will it fit nicely? Where do you find aftermarket parts for the f20?
dont bother with the f20... little aftermarket support and more costly than the stronger h22a. h22a would be ur best bet. the 2.2 litre CL engine is prolly just an f22b or something, i have no idea.
the f20b is actually an sir accord motor(97+) and euro-r is h22a. as far as little aftermarket support?, most parts will fit, minus bottom end internals (crank, rods, piston) cams, gears, headers, intakes all will work seeing how they are basically the same motor.
i've seen this question before. i think i asked it too. hah i always saw the "get the h22a" reply. so i'm gonna have to agree. in the long run, i think the h22 would be like 10x more fun too. like by be able to do more with it and all. more options than the f20.
the 92-93 accord ex engine is f22a6 i believe, as for the f20b its not worth it, lower torque and less displacement, only advantage is the high red line but that would be a gay reason to get it for an extra grand...
