Default Unorthadox Racing crank pulley better than ctr pulley?

I've got a b16b and know a guy selling a UR crank pulley.. Is there any reason I shouldn't buy it? The last thing I want to do is mess up my engine because of an unbalanced pulley.

Do the right thing and get the CTR pulley

How is that "doing the right thing"?

Search for information on lightweight crank pulleys. There are many threads discussing them, and you'll be able to make a more informed decision after reading through them.

if i recall the CTR pulley lacks any harmonic dampening capabilities, therfore the wrong thing to do.

it think the ITR is what you want. there is a thread i read recently.

I have a ctr engine though, that's why I'm asking if it's worth the swap..
I did a search on "pulley" and didn't come up with anything comparing the ctr and ur ones.

If the CTR has no harmonic dampening capabilities, think about the unorthodox unit...it's a solid piece of aluminum

Never heard of a CTR's downfall as a harmonic balancer...then again never even heard of this being a problem until my stock B16A2 crank pulley broke in half . I would go with CTR over an Unorthodox just because it's OEM Honda over an aftermarket part.
