Let me elaborate some more on my reasons for asking this question. I'm on the Viginia Tech Formula SAE team and we've got a connection where we can get Bosch products at a dicount (money is tight) so if we can cut out any cost at all it is a big help. And since we run several engines with experimental modifications plugs start to add up and $10 a pop. I've done research online and haven't be able to locate a copatiable plug so far. Thanks for any help.

All spark plug catalogs should have a cross reference section in them - I would assume that Bosch makes some plugs that would fit (but I can't gaurantee it especially being that I haven't seen Bosch plugs in a bike).
Whatever the factory recommends is usually the way to go.
Some people have been able to use Iridium replacment plugs for some claimed performance increase but that will not fit the bill for cheap.
Try buying the plugs at Ron Ayers or somewhere like that and mebbe that'll help.

pretty sure bosch doesnt offer motorcycle plugs for the north american market, unless BMW has em as OEM product.
this is the best cross reference i have found, the NGK is listed with only a Denso as an alternative. (excel file) http://home.att.net/~ngkaz/wsb...4.xls
the other cross ref charts i have dont even have that NGK on there.
if you can get the honda part number for the NGK, go to http://www.servicehonda.com they have the cheapest OEM parts i have found. the dealer wanted $12 a plug for the vfr but service honda had em for $5, less than direct form ngk

I'll be the search monkey since you're a student and on a budget. And I have an NGK book here.
What year is the engine?
NGK specifies a "IMR9A-9H" plug for the -2002 F4i.
"IMR9C-9A" for the '03-
10mm plug
3/4" reach
5/8" hex
Stud
Partial thread
Its an Iridium plug whos closest copper counterpart is "CR9EH-9" (for both).
You will probably not find any cross refrence information under the Iridium number. You can look it up using the copper number. I don't think Bosch does any "C" NGK plugs, others might. I would give the NGK coppers a try, but its up to you. I have heard of people having problems going from copper to exotics. In all the cases I've heard of where people go from exotics to copper, there have been good results (more power, shorter plug life).
But if the engine explodes in a firey ball it aint my fault.
Edit: I've got some in stock if you wanna give em a try. They aren't that much cheaper than what you say you're paying for those Iridiums though...

I don't remember Bosch ever listing 10mm plugs. Maybe my catralog wasn't a complete listing of Bosch plugs made but I think it's going to be a difficult find for something that isn't going to do a damn thing for performance
