Will Stock Rod bolts hold??? or need to change to ARP????
In the process of building an all motor block.
I picked up a brand new B18C5 Type R short block from Honda, swapping pistons to Toda 81mm pistons and plan on also using a Mugen thin head gasket, compression will be around 12.7:1. Planning to rev to around 9K or 9.5K rpm.
Going to use ARP head studs....
Would I need to change the rod bolts also to ARP or will the stock rod bolts hold???

Heard that the rods need to be resized everytime you use new rod bolts, what does that mean?
Does it apply to me since the short block I got is brand new?
Could I just change the rod bolts to arp and reuse the new bearings that came with the new short block and just use a rod bolt stretch gauge to torque it down???

after spending the kind of $$$ you already have, get some cheap insurance (ARP rod bolts) better to be safe than sorry.
