just wondering, does anyone know this answer, me and my friend were arguing about it, i think the lude would win. but i really don't know.

 

"Vtec" first off. Secondly, are you referring to a V6, or V8? Z28 or SS? We are talking a few different engine types here, LT1, LS1, and whatever the V6 is. The V6 camaros are actually pretty decent, not in terms of domestic power, but they are somewhat quick. The torque from the Camaro is going to be more than enough to put the Lude away IMO. It also depends on what mods both are running. But a Lude vs a Z28 stock for stock, Z28 is going to smoke the living hell out of it, baaaaaad. I won't even go into how bad an SS would kill it.

 

LOL even an auto 8 cylinder Camaro will tear any Honda a new ******* in a strait line... but the Lude should be able to take a V6 Camaro is a strait line (and especially on the track).

 

I don't know, a while back at the street races there was a manual Chevy Z24 vs a Camaro V6, the Z24 had him early but the Camaro pulled and won it. I know the Z24 vs Lude is pretty close.

as for a Z24, my roommate has one... and b/c of his low end power and lower gearing, my car and his are head-to-head until about 80mph... then i pull ahead... keep in mind, this is without using NOS... as for Camaro V6s, same deal... i've destroyed several Camaro V6s, especially on the interstate (no NOS needed)... now with the Camaro SS's, it's a different story...

needless to say, even though Chevy's sport high power figures, they're still POS's... poor construction... ugh, what a shame to have these types of cars represent the American production quality for the global industry...

 

Well you skipped from the V6 to the SS, you forgot to include the Z28's, the Z28's will mop the floor with any lude.

 

LT1 or LS1 is not going to be a contest, in most cases. The V6, if the race is long enough, will have it's *** handed to it on the top end. Some of those V6 F-bodies aren't slouches but you're gonna find that to be true off the line. I'll end this post with "Hondas belong on a roadcourse, not a dragstrip."

- Greddy SP Exhaust
- Stock Manifolds
- Re-programmed ECU
- Fields Vtec Controller

I SPANK, I MEAN SPANK V-6 Camaros....
Now..the Z28 will make me sweat but have yet to loss to one by more than a bad shift or the cops intruding. If am on the ball, there is no chance for the Z28, unless it is hooked up as well. But he has 4 more cynliners, he's cheating..HAHA.. = #1

I ran at Pomona, earlier this year. I run on a N/A setup. Best run was 15.1 @ 89mph. This was on 15x6" rims and street tires. Tuned it the day before and had 2 gallons of 102 octane petro in the tank.

..................... ok I thought a stock z28 would run low 14's correct me if I'm wrong. You must either be racing sucky drivers or I don't know just going off your 1/4 time. It just doesn't match up.
