Default someone has to know the answer to this question

i want to buy some tokicos for my crx, but i need certain kind of rear struts, there are two different LCA's on crx's, one is the skinny kind where the strut bolts up around the LCA and the other kind is the fat one where the strut bolts up in between the LCA, they made the different LCA's on certain crx's, my friend has an 88 Si crx and it is exactly the same as my 89 HF crx. basically, i just want to know how i can get some rear struts for my type of LCA bcuz the basic kind they sell is for the skinny LCA's. someone please answer this cuz i need new struts bad.

Yep, the rear lca's are different on the year/models you mentioned. When you order or go to buy your parts you'll have to stress to them they are for an 88. Other than swapping out to a newer years rear suspension what else can you do?

right on man, so it is specifcally an 88 crx that has the different kind of LCA than the 89-91's? except 89 hf's, they stayed the same as 88 si's , the seatbelt on the c-pillar and the rear LCA thing. ill make sure i specify that it bolts in between the LCA, if they will even know what i am talking about.

Or you can ask them what years the strut you are ordering fit, if they say 88-91, tell them no, they can't be the right ones. The 88s are different.
