Default Quick Coolant temp Sensor Question?

Sup Everyone. Recently I noticed that my car runs cold. Never did it until after i changed my clutch and removed random sensors. At first it would read C all the time, then i realized the coolant temp connector wasnt on. Fix'd that and it was fine. Now that its cold out again, the car doesnt warm up like at all. After 20 mins of drivin, it still tries to pull the idle up. I was thinkin thermostat, but wanted to hit this first. I looked at it, and lookin at the sensor I can still see threads between the sensor and head, should this be flush against the head? Lemme know b4 i go out there and strip it tryin to get it close. Thanks Alot folks.

I think you can test the sensor by grounding it out. When grounded the temp gage should read hot. I think it's an electrical problem. Leave the wrenches alone

I don't think it's the sensor, if it's not leaking, it's in far enough. Throw a thermostat in there, it's almost a maintenance item on these cars. Besides, the gauge and the computer use different temperature sensors. If everything is plugged up where it should be, suspect the thermostat.
