set up a friend with an Apexi PowerFC on a setup identical to mine, 'cept his uses a z6 block with no KS, and the PowerFC has a nice Knock Sensor monitor...any ideas here? i saw some stuff about LS/vtec adding the KS to the alternator bracket where it screws into the blizzock, however, i would like SOHC experience with this if anyone has that-
THANKS!
THANKS!
i added a obd0 fan switch to a 93 block a while ago..
the back of the block already had a spot for some sensor, it was just a flat circular surface i just dilled it out to get to teh coolent jacket.
i tapped it and put in the sensor, only to find out it didnt seat right and started to leak coolent. I then had to pull it back out slip it back in with gobs of good ol JB weld and then i just generously put JB weld around the sensor.
its held up 15k miles later, so i think its an easy thing to do.
what your doing is basicaly similar to my experiance so it should be quite easy (minus the JB weld part
)...
