my son was messing with his car and he jumped the blue service connector with a paper clip...trying to check codes i think. then he started to turn the car over...and POP... IT SOUNDED LIKE A FUSE BLOWING..is there a fuse for this? or what the hell happened?
it maybe just the main fuse that is located under the hood, but first of all does that car run or even turn on?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bustah49 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">my son was messing with his car and he jumped the blue service connector with a paper clip...trying to check codes i think. then he started to turn the car over...and POP... Your son couldn't be resonsible for anything that may have gone wrong (the pop sound).
You are supposed to put a jumper in there to set the ignition timing.
That means you have to have the jumper in there with the car running.
Anyway, unde your passanger side carpet you will find a metal plate bolted to the floor. It sit under the glove box where you rst your feet you you have to roll the carpet back to get to it. The ECU (car computer) is in there and it has a little window with an LED behind it. When you have the key in and turned to the ON position (or runnign... either works) the LED flashes to let you know what fault codes may be in existance if any.
