If you get Sport Compact....
Turn to page 38 of the February issue where you'll find a blurb on the ECHC, described as "the brainchild of Karl 'Rice' Shultz..."
That is the best thing I've ever read. SCC called Karl "Rice." I mean, damn. If that's not the pot calling the kettle black...
This and the abuse they handed out to the Prelude owner on page 48 with "wallet-sapping Home Depot ghetto-fabulous upgrades" just might get me to renew my subscription.

I'm gonna have to get a new phone line, and email addy.
This thing is getting HUGE. Even more than I can tell you guys about just yet.
This is now officially my 2nd job. If I only got paid to do it...
This is fantastic BTW. We didn't even solicit this coverage nor did we know it was going to happen.

I thought I'd be the last to say this, but SCC appears to be turning into a respectable publication. Rally coverage (and even a project car), autocross articles, and even somewhat objective reviews. Its not subsciption-worthy yet, but I'm starting to pick one up as I cruise the local B&N.
GSRMatt, I too have noticed that SCC is slowly but surely starting to "get it." Nearly all of their project cars are built with track use in mind, which I *never* thought I'd see in SCC.
And BTW guys...RoadRacer is right. There's big - as in "you're kidding, right?" big - stuff in the works. I have *no* idea how SCC heard about us. It's very cool that they did...but we didn't solicit this. They're more web and/or motorsports savvy than I once gave them credit for.
Further proof (potential driver sponsors, are you listening?) that this is one of the more marketable series in amateur racing right now.

With the good, comes the bad I guess.
Of course a mag like SCC has to cater to the ricer crowd to some degree. The ricers buy more magazines than the hardcore racers and gearheads. But, they don't have show cars with girls on the cover, which gives them a little more legitimacy.
You know, that's probably the main reason I buy that magazine on occasion. Never even really realized it, but a magazine that sports the "import models" means it's pretty much not going to do me any good, at all. (Nevermind the horrible looking car on the cover sitting next to previously mentioned model.)
