made my first 13 second pass all motor!!
Well I went to delmar us 13 dragway tonight and made my first 13 second pass. I was launching at 5500 rpm on slicks (13 lenso on 22 MH). Here are times below
R/T .015 .376
60 2.055 2.010
330 5.8 5.797
1/8 8.946 8.908
MPH 79.79 79.58
1000 11.633 11.593
1/4 13.920 13.885
MPH 98.53 98.17
Hondaguyef took the car for a ride too and did a little bit better than i did.
R/T .107
60 1.987
330 5.713
1/8 8.791
MPH 79.96
1000 11.471
1/4 13.762
MPH 98.11
There is definately room for improvement on those passes but overall im very happy so far. I think if we launch at 6500 or 7000 the car wont bogg off the line like it did on both tries tonight. I had full throttle launch set at 5500 and couldnt change it while i was at track because no one had uberdata 1.6 But I'll be trying again next weekend at cecil county. Here is setup below of car
1989 crx hf (rear gutted)
94 b18c1
Lads Port and polished head
Super tech valves, springs, retainers
ctr cams
stock bottom end (rebuilt)
skunk2 intake manifold with 64 mm throttle body port matched
ebay 3 inch intake with k & n filter
megan racing header with 2.5 collect
2.5 pipe all the way back
magnaflow 2.5 high flow cat
flowmaster 2.5 in and 2.5 out muffler
94 gsr tranny with quaife lsd

We have a hatch with a B18C1, Skunk IM, DC 4 into 1, R pistons and cams and a Gsr tranny no tunning at all. All we did was run timing at 18 degrees. Best run was on 22x8x13's was a 13.12@101. We also pulled 1.75 60fts.
with your set-up I think more seat time would be the key to your success
*edit* car also weighed 2050 with driver

damm if my car weighed in at 2050, with my fat *** in it i would be a happy camper(right now i'm at 2140lbs with a 12.8 as my best et). i would say that better times, are just a few passes away. with the slicks and a good alignment, you should hit 1.8 60' times. that would get the car into the 13.5 second times, also dropping the clutch at higher than 5500 rpms should help your 60' time. if you ran the car with full exhaust, take it off the next time you run it will shave a couple of tix of you et! good luck

u definitely need to take advantage of those slicks. launch off the limiter. until i learned this myself, i too didnt run to my potential.

id say mid to low 1.8s. when my car was a street car i was only launchin at 7k and gettin low 1.8s. the next yr i came back 300lbs less and pullin low 1.7s some high 1.6s.
yeah im going to cecil next weekend i will definately give it a try im going to change full throttle launch to 7500 and see what happens.

hopefully with some bigger cams ill get to the 12.9s
only time will tell...first though i need t learn to get some low 13s passes out of this car. Its not tuned yet and i think it should hit 13.4 easy if i launch it higher.
