Default Swaping the steering rack...

I know some one on here did it (i think MikeK). What did you use? Is the ratio the same ? If not is it more or less? Who do you like it? Thanks for the help.

Mike K used a rack from a CX... ratio is....... greater... easier input.

Not sure of the actaul ratio # though..... let me know what you find out, becuase I'll be doing the same 'for too long here.

sackdz - who will soon have an AEM P/S pulley for sale

By greater you mean more turns on the steering wheel equals less turn on the wheels? Sorry i should have stated this earlier...

Let me think.... the ratio is the amount of turns of the wheel vs. the amount of movement on the rack... depending on tooth count of pinion gear. There for I think it would take more turns of the steering wheel to rotate the wheels given a greater ratio. I don't know if I like that in an emergency at speed... but it would definetly be easier on the street, parking lots, etc. Although I don't think it would make too much of a difference on the track (emergency countersteer situation), Mike K???
